Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northeast Montana
National Weather Service Glasgow MT
310 AM MDT Tue Oct 24 2017

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR
FIRE WEATHER ZONES 122...135...136 AND 137...

.DISCUSSION...
An upper level ridge will extend into the region and bring warmer
temperatures and dry weather conditions through the middle of the
week. A cold front will approach the area on Wednesday bringing
strong northwest winds by the afternoon which will create critical
fire weather conditions when combined with expected low relative
humidity. Strong winds will persist into Wednesday night.
Isolated rain and snow showers are also possible Wednesday night
into Thursday but precipitation amounts will be light.
