Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Southeast Texas
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
316 PM CST Wed Jan 17 2018

.DISCUSSION...
Another bitterly cold and dry evening across much of the interior...
generally north and northeast of a Interstate 10 line. A Hard Freeze
Warning is in effect from 9 PM tonight through 9 AM Thursday for the
northeastern forecast area. Due to near surface overnight temperatures
falling into the lower to middle 20s...to as cold as the middle teens
in the Piney Woods...lower level inversions will be stout. Increasing
moisture along southeasterly winds over the next couple of days. The
development and passage of an upper trough...surface coastal trough
will thicken up late week clouds and increase Friday and Saturdays rain
chances to moderate. The next cold front will come across the region
later Sunday.
