Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
429 AM CDT Thu Mar 30 2017

.DISCUSSION...

A powerful system will bring the possibility of severe storms
mainly this afternoon and evening. Southerly winds around 10 MPH
will be possible today in addition to any thunderstorm wind gusts.
Dispersion is also expected to be very good today given the high
transport winds up to 35 MPH.

Once storms exit the region late tonight, a cold front will bring
somewhat cooler temperatures and dry weather on Friday. Some
lingering showers may affect northeast Alabama early Friday
morning. Total rainfall amounts look to be around 1 inch from
Thursday through Friday afternoon. By Friday afternoon dispersion
should be good to very good with dry conditions and temperatures
warming to the upper 60s to low 70s. Dry and warm conditions
should prevail during the days on Saturday and Sunday as a high
pressure system prevails. The next opportunity for rainfall then
arrives on Sunday night into Monday as the next storm system
approaches.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog may occur on
early Saturday morning.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
