Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central Nebraska

.DISCUSSION...

Minimal fire weather concerns today. Cooler conditions will
prevail with rain showers expected across much of western and
north central Nebraska. However, generally dry conditions will
prevail over parts of northwest NEB. Total rainfall amounts are
expected to range from an inch to an inch and a half from
southwest NEB to north central NEB, with locally higher amounts
possible. Windy conditions out of the north, strongest across
southwest NEB with gusts up to 40 mph. Winds tapering off mid-
late afternoon.

Looking ahead, fire weather conditions are expected to be
predominantly low attributable to near to slightly above normal
temperatures and chances for precipitation Sunday and Tuesday.
