Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
1106 AM CST Mon Nov 20 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Heightened fire danger is expected today across parts of Missouri and
Illinois due to the combination of dry fuels, minimum afternoon relative
humidity values below 30 percent, and gusty southwest winds of 10 to 15
mph with higher gusts. The strongest winds will be located across
northeast Missouri and west central Illinois while the lowest afternoon
relative humidity values will be generally located west of the
Mississippi River and south of the Missouri River in eastern and central
Missouri. The lack of overlap between the strongest winds and the lowest
humidity values suggests that widespread Red Flag conditions will not
be met this afternoon across eastern and central Missouri or
southwestern Illinois.

A cold front will move through the area on Tuesday. No precipitation is
expected with the front. Winds will shift from southwesterly or southerly
ahead of the front to northwesterly behind the front.
