.DISCUSSION...Low pressure near Cape Mendocino will remain
stationary through Tuesday. South to southeast winds aloft will
allow monsoonal moisture to filter into the area. This,
combined with intense surface heating, will bring isolated to
scattered thunderstorms to much of the area. The activity will
peak in the afternoons and evenings today through Tuesday, but
thunderstorms may continue through Monday night. The low will
finally move inland Wednesday, and the air mass will stabilize
from the west.
