Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Middle Tennessee
National Weather Service Nashville TN
514 AM CST Thu Jan 18 2018

.DISCUSSION...A warm-up starts today, as winds turn southerly.
Temperatures increase from the 30s today, into the 40s on Friday,
to around 50 by Saturday, and into the upper 50s and lower 60s on
Sunday.

Dry conditions are forecast through Saturday, with just a slight
chance for showers extreme west Saturday night and Sunday. A cold
front approaches our area Sunday night, and sweeps across the Mid-
State on Monday, providing more widespread rainfall.

It dries out again as we head into the middle part of next week, with
temperatures forecast to be near normal.

Southerly winds become gusty on Monday ahead of the cold front, and
remain gusty and out of the west to southwest behind the front,
Monday night and Tuesday. After that, winds should be mainly less
than 10 knots.
