FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTH IDAHO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPOKANE WA
303 PM PDT TUE AUG 30 2016

.DISCUSSION...

...ISOLATED DRY THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE TONIGHT...

AN OFFSHORE TROUGH WILL PROMOTE MOIST SOUTHERLY FLOW OVER THE
REGION THROUGH THURSDAY. A WEAK WEATHER DISTURBANCE WILL RIDE THIS
FLOW THROUGH THE REGION THIS EVENING TRIGGERING ISOLATED HIGH
BASED AND LOW PRECIPITATION THUNDERSTORMS...MAINLY OVER THE
EASTERN AND NORTHERN DISTRICTS AND THE CASCADES. SOME OF THESE
STORMS COULD PRODUCE LOCAL GUSTY AND ERRATIC WINDS. THE
DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE OUT TO THE NORTH LATE TONIGHT WITH DRY
CONDITIONS OVER THE REGION ON WEDNESDAY EXCEPT FOR A SMALL CHANCE
OF SHOWERS AND INCREASINGLY WET THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE CASCADES.
THE OFFSHORE TROUGH WILL MOVE ASHORE AND THROUGH THE REGION
BEGINNING THURSDAY WITH A CHANCE FOR WETTING RAIN INCREASING OVER
MUCH OF THE AREA BY FRIDAY.
