Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
110 PM MST Fri Nov 17 2017

.Discussion...
Strong westerly winds associated with an approaching storm system
are expected across the region through this afternoon. Widespread
wind gusts in excess of 40 to 50 mph are possible. A cold front
will drop south across the Plains this evening, keeping winds
strong through much of the overnight period. Temperatures will
be warm this afternoon, however humidity values are expected to
remain near 20 percent, with near critical fire weather conditions
on the Plains. Expect accumulating snowfall along the Continental
Divide through tonight.

Quiet weather is expected over the weekend into Monday as weak high
pressure moves across the region. This will be dry conditions and
generally mild temperatures to the area. A quick moving disturbance
will move across Colorado on Tuesday with another shot of snowfall
for the mountains, before drying out once again for Wednesday and
beyond.

Strong winds across the region will lead to excellent smoke dispersions
for late this morning and afternoon. Elevated winds will keep generally
very good dispersions through the overnight hours.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
