FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SW VA...SE WV AND NW NC
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BLACKSBURG VA
806 PM EDT SAT APR 19 2014

.DISCUSSION...
LOW PRESSURE ALONG THE SOUTHEAST COAST WILL DRIFT SLOWLY EAST AND
OFFSHORE OVERNIGHT INTO SUNDAY. THIS SHOULD ALLOW ANY RESIDUAL
RAINFALL ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE VIRGINIA/NORTH CAROLINA BORDER
TO TAPER OFF LATER TONIGHT.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL STRENGTHEN ALONG THE MID ATLANTIC COAST ON SUNDAY
PROVIDING A DRIER EASTERLY FLOW INTO SUNDAY NIGHT. WINDS WILL
GRADUALLY TURN MORE SOUTHWEST MONDAY AND INCREASE ON TUESDAY AS THE
HIGH SLIDES EAST AND THE NEXT COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST.

MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS FRONT WILL BRING THE NEXT CHANCE OF
WETTING RAINFALL IN THE FORM OF SHOWERS AND STORMS TUESDAY AFTERNOON.
HIGH PRESSURE ALONG WITH GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS AND MUCH DRIER AIR
FOLLOWS THE FRONT ON THURSDAY.
