...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

COOL AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL GIVE WAY TO A GRADUAL WARMING TREND
THIS WEEK. OCCASIONAL PERIODS OF ENHANCED NORTH WINDS ARE POSSIBLE,
MOST NOTABLY DOWN THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS ARE DEVELOPING ALONG AND BELOW THE COASTAL
FOOTHILLS, PASSES AND CANYONS OF SAN BERNARDINO, RIVERSIDE, AND
ORANGE COUNTIES AND WILL BECOME A LITTLE STRONGER TONIGHT AND
MONDAY MORNING. THE WINDS WILL LIKELY PEAK MONDAY AND TUESDAY AS
HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE GREAT BASIN. OCCASIONAL NORTHEAST
WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH ISOLATED GUSTS TOPPING 40 TO 45 MPH
WILL COMBINE WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES OF 10 TO 15 PERCENT, TO
CREATE SEVERAL HOURS OF NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
EACH DAY IN THESE AREAS, MAINLY NORTH OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY. THE
WINDS WILL EASE ON WEDNESDAY WITH A GRADUAL RECOVERY IN RELATIVE
HUMIDITY INTO NEXT WEEKEND, BUT DAYTIME TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE
WELL ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

UPPER LOW LOW PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN WILL MAINTAIN A COOL
AND DRY AIRMASS FOR THE DISTRICTS FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS. SOME
AFTERNOON BREEZINESS WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE BUT NOT MUCH
STRONGER THAN 15-20 MPH AT PEAK AFTERNOON HEATING, EXCEPT FOR
LOCATIONS ALONG THE COLORADO RIVER AND WESTERN AZ. NORTHERLY
GUSTS 25-30 MPH ARE POSSIBLE FOR THOSE LOCALES. MINIMUM
HUMIDITIES TO RANGE FROM 10-20 PERCENT FOR THE LOWER ELEVATIONS
AND 20-30 PERCENT FOR THE FOOTHILLS/HIGHER TERRAIN LOCALES, WITH
FAIR TO GOOD OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES.
