...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

AN APPROACHING TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL INCREASE WINDS THIS
AFTERNOON...ESPECIALLY IN THE LEE OF THE SIERRA. A DRY NORTHWEST
FLOW WILL THEN BE IN PLACE THROUGH LABOR DAY. TODAY WILL BE THE
HOTTEST DAY OF THE WEEKEND...THEN TEMPERATURES WILL COOL A FEW
DEGREES ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY...BUT REMAIN SLIGHTLY ABOVE THE
SEASONAL NORMALS.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

WEAKENING HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL BRING GRADUAL COOLING THROUGH THE
HOLIDAY WEEKEND. CONTINUED DRY THROUGH NEXT WEEK UNDER SOUTHWEST
FLOW ALOFT WITH A DEEPER MARINE LAYER AS LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPS ALONG
THE WEST COAST. DAYTIME TEMPERATURES INLAND WILL BE 4 TO 8 DEGREES
BELOW EARLY SEPTEMBER AVERAGES...AND ONSHORE FLOW WILL KEEP RELATIVE
HUMIDITY ELEVATED WEST OF THE MOUNTAINS. AS THE SEA BREEZE DEVELOPS
INLAND EACH AFTERNOON AND EVENING...WESTERLY WINDS WILL BECOME
QUITE GUSTY THROUGH AND BELOW THE DESERT PASSES AND SLOPES.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

STRONG HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE REGION WILL KEEP CONDITIONS
UNSEASONABLY WARM AND TEMPERATURES ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
DAYTIME HUMIDITIES WILL FALL AT OR BELOW 10 PERCENT FROM THE SOUTH-
CENTRAL AZ DESERTS WESTWARD BEYOND THE CO RIVER VALLEY AND IN THE
10-20 PERCENT RANGE IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES
WILL RANGE FROM FAIR TO GOOD. WINDS WILL FOLLOW TYPICAL DIURNAL OR
DRAINAGE HEADINGS WITH MOSTLY LIGHT SPEEDS.
