SPOT FORECAST FOR BLUESTEM-TU...TNC
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND FORKS ND
924 AM CDT FRI SEP 30 2016

FORECAST IS BASED ON IGNITION TIME OF 1200 CDT ON SEPTEMBER 30.
IF CONDITIONS BECOME UNREPRESENTATIVE...CONTACT THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE.

.DISCUSSION...
CURRENT SATELLITE IMAGERY SHOWS THE BURN AREA JUST WEST OF AN AREA
OF FOG AND LOW CLOUDS...WITH VISIBILITIES IN THE FOG REDUCED TO
AS LITTLE AS ONE HALF MILES AT TIMES. THIS AREA OF FOG AND LOW
CLOUDS IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE ERODING DURING THE MID MORNING
HOURS.

HOWEVER...BASED ON PERSISTENCE OF THE AREA OF LOW CLOUDS...THE
SITUATION WILL BE MONITORED THROUGH THE MORNING TO WATCH FOR ANY
WESTWARD PROGRESSION OF THE LOW CLOUDS AND FOG...AND IT IS
RECOMMENDED TO GET AN UPDATE IF CONDITIONS BECOME UNREPRESENTATIVE
OF THE INITIAL FORECAST.

IF THE FOG AND LOW CLOUDS PERSIST...THIS WILL AFFECT TEMPERATURES
AT BURN TIME AND MINIMUM HUMIDITIES MAY BE HIGHER THAN THE 40 TO
45 PERCENT VALUES FORECAST AT THIS TIME. OTHERWISE...INCREASED
SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL ALLOW FOR FAIR TO GOOD SMOKE DISPERSAL...WITH
A FEW GUSTS TO 20 MPH POSSIBLE.
