...WIDESPREAD DENSE FOG THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING NORTH OF POINT
CONCEPTION...

A SHALLOW MARINE LAYER OVER THE COASTAL WATERS WILL KEEP
WIDESPREAD DENSE FOG ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS, ESPECIALLY NORTH
OF POINT CONCEPTION THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. DENSE FOG WILL
PRIMARILY IMPACT THE COASTAL WATERS OFF THE CENTRAL COAST AND
ADJACENT OUTER WATERS. MARINERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR ABRUPT
VISIBILITY CHANGES DOWN TO ONE NAUTICAL MILE OR LESS...ESPECIALLY
ALONG THE CENTRAL COAST. REDUCE SPEEDS AND BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
EXPOSED ROCKS AND OTHER VESSELS...AND USE RADAR OR GPS NAVIGATION
IF AVAILABLE.

MARINERS IN HARBOR...ESPECIALLY THOSE WITHOUT RADAR...SHOULD
CONSIDER REMAINING IN HARBOR AS DENSE FOG CAN OBSCURE EXPOSED
ROCKS AND OTHER VESSELS...INCLUDING LARGE SHIPS IN THE SHIPPING
LANES.
