...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR WINDS NOW IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY
TO 1 AM PST SATURDAY...
...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 10 AM PST SATURDAY...

The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Gale
Warning, which is in effect from 1 AM to 10 AM PST Saturday. The
Small Craft Advisory for hazardous seas is no longer in effect.

* WINDS...SW winds increasing to 20 to 25 kt this afternoon and
tonight, becoming W to NW with gusts to 30 kt tonight. Gusts to
35 kt late tonight and Saturday morning.

* SEAS...8 ft building to 10 ft late tonight and 14 to 16 ft
Saturday morning. Seas remaining above 10 ft through the
  weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

A Small Craft Advisory for wind means that wind speeds of 21 to
33 knots are expected. Inexperienced mariners, especially those
operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these
conditions.
