...High Winds will return to the Absarokas and Cody Foothills
today...

.An approaching front will mix strong mid level winds to the
surface and bring high winds to portions of the Absarokas and Cody
Foothills as well as along the Green Mountains and Rattlesnake
Range.

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a High Wind
Warning, which is in effect until 5 AM MST Friday. The High Wind
Watch is no longer in effect.

* TIMING...Winds will continue to gradually increase through 5 am
  this morning. High winds are expected today and tonight.

* WINDS...West 40 to 50 mph with gusts to 55 to 65 mph in the
  Cody Foothills, with higher gusts possible around Clark. In the
  Absarokas, west winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts to 75 mph.

* IMPACTS...Strong cross winds may produce a significant blow
  over threat to trucks pulling light weight and high profile
  trailers.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a High Wind
Warning, which is in effect from noon today to 5 AM MST Friday.

* TIMING...Strong southwest winds will gradually increase through
  12 noon today. High winds are then expected through this
  afternoon and tonight.

* WINDS...Southwest 35 to 45 mph with gusts of 55 to 65 mph, with
  higher gusts in the higher terrain.

* IMPACTS...Strong cross winds may produce a significant blow
  over threat to trucks pulling light weight and high profile
  trailers. |
