West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose was
centered near 39.3N 69.1W, or about 120 nm SE of Nantucket at
5 PM EDT this afternoon. It is drifting SE at 3 kt with maximum
sustained winds near 40 kt. Jose will drift to near 39.5N 69.5W
by 2 AM EDT tonight, and to near 38.7N 68.7W by 2 PM EDT Sat,
while weakening. Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose will then slowly
drift towards the SE and S Sat night through Sun while continuing
to weaken before dissipating early Mon. Also, S to SE swell from
Hurricane Maria will impact the area tonight through Wed night.
Hurricane Maria will approach from the S Sun and Sun night, and
is expected to be near 30.7N 72W by 2 PM EDT Mon, to near 32.5N
72W by 2 PM EDT Tue, and to 34.5N 71.5W by 2 PM EDT Wed. Refer to
the latest National Hurricane Center advisories for Post-Tropical
Cyclone Jose and Hurricane Maria. Otherwise, a weak high pres
ridge will persist over the S and central waters through Sat,
then weaken and dissipate Sat night.
