MOUNTAINS, SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO PLAINS, VAN HORN AND THE HIGHWAY
54 CORRIDOR, REEVES COUNTY AND THE UPPER TRANS PECOS, AND LOVING,
WINKLER, WARD, PECOS, PRESIDIO, AND BREWSTER COUNTIES...

...A FIRE WEATHER WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FRIDAY FOR ALL AREAS FOR
HIGH FIRE DANGER, MINIMUM HUMIDITY OF 15% OR LESS AND WIND OVER 20
MPH...

.High end fire weather conditions along with dry fuels are
promoting a high probability of significant fire potential into
early evening. Large fires that will strongly resist control are
likely. Strong winds will continue through at least mid evening
and RH will be slow to recovery. More critical fire weather is
expected Friday and watch has been issued for all areas.

The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has issued a Fire
Weather Watch, which is in effect from Friday morning through
Friday evening.

* HUMIDITY...Today 4 to 10 percent. Friday 12 to 15 percent.

* WIND...Today above 6000 feet...southwest increasing to 30 to 50
  mph in the afternoon. Below 6000 feet...southwest 25 to 45 mph
  in the afternoon. Friday west 15 to 25 mph.

* FIRE DANGER...Very high to extreme.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a very dangerous and potentially life threatening fire
weather situation. High winds and very low relative humidities
combined with recent dry spell are resulting weather conditions
favorable for fires. A regional outbreak of dangerous wind-driven
wildfires is possible into this evening.
