HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI

The following forecasts are for rivers in southwest lower michigan...

For the Grand River At Lowell... no observed stage was available.  No
flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted is 10.1 feet
Wednesday morning.  Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

For the Red Cedar River Above Williamston... the latest stage was 5.2
feet at 2 PM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 7.2 feet Tuesday morning.  Flood stage is 9.0 feet.  At
7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow begins in low lying areas
adjacent to the river..

For the Red Cedar River At East Lansing... the latest stage was 4.3
feet at 2 PM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 6.2 feet Tuesday morning.  Flood stage is 7.0 feet.  At
6.0 feet... River reaches bankfull and low lying areas flood..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
