...A crest below flood stage is occurring for the following location
along the Pease River...

  For the Pease River near Vernon...

* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* The latest stage was 13.52 feet at 2 PM Friday.

* The Pease River is is currently cresting and will begin falling
  Friday evening.

* Impact...When the Pease River reaches 14.0 feet near Vernon...Near
  bankfull conditions extend along the Pease River in northern
  Wilbarger County.

  People in flood prone areas should continue to monitor water
  levels...and be prepared to seek higher ground should water levels
  rise suddenly.  Stay tuned for further information by listening to
  weather radio or local media sources.
