...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHEASTERN LAFAYETTE AND
NORTHERN JOHNSON COUNTIES UNTIL 445 AM CDT...

At 355 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northeast of Holden, moving northeast at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Warrensburg, Higginsville, Knob Noster, Holden, Centerview,
Aullville, Fayetteville and Pittsville.

This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 49 and
56.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
