...VERY COLD AIR TO KEEP ROADS SLIPPERY IN SPOTS THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON...

Spotty light snow showers overnight, especially in Avery County
and across the higher ridges of the northern mountains, have
produced slippery roadways in a few areas. With temperatures
likely locked in the 20s for the remainder of the day, these
slippery areas will persist despite the increasing sunshine.
Slippery roads will be most dangerous in hilly and shady areas
this afternoon. Use caution if driving in the northern mountains
today.
