...GRADUAL INCREASE IN WATER LEVELS ALONG THE SAG RIVER EXPECTED
TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT...

HEAVY RAINFALL OVERNIGHT IN UPPER PORTIONS OF THE SAG RIVER
BASIN OF 0.8 TO 1.0 INCHES WILL CAUSE A RISE OF AROUND 2.5 FEET AT
THE SAG RIVER GAUGE AT PUMP STATION 3. THIS INCREASED FLOW IS
EXPECTED TO CREST AT 19.5 FEET AROUND MIDNIGHT TONIGHT WITH THE
CREST EXPECTED TO REACH DOWNSTREAM ALONG THE DALTON HIGHWAY AT
MILEPOST 395 BY MIDNIGHT SATURDAY.

ALTHOUGH THIS RISE IN THE SAG RIVER IS EXPECTED TO BE WITHIN
BANKFULL AT PUMP STATION 3...THE RECENT FLOODING THAT HAS
OCCURRED AND POTENTIAL CHANNEL SHIFTS MAY SEE SOME MINOR IMPACTS
AS THE WATER LEVEL RISES ALONG THE DALTON HIGHWAY AND DOWNSTREAM
OF PUMP STATION 3.

FOLKS TRAVELING OR LOCAL RESIDENTS IN THE AREA SHOULD CONTINUE TO
MONITOR LOCAL WATER LEVELS. FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION ON DALTON
HIGHWAY ROAD CONDITIONS...PLEASE VISIT THE DOT WEBSITE AT
