URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...Wintry mix changing to all snow this evening...

.Low pressure will track from central Missouri to northeast
Illinois later today. Areas of rain will change to a wintry mix of
freezing rain and then to snow today and continue into tonight,
across portions of northeast and east central Iowa. Total
accumulations by Saturday morning will be in the 1 to 3 inch
range. Minor ice accumulations near a tenth of an inch are
possible. As temperatures fall into the 20s late this afternoon
and tonight, roads and sidewalks will become snow covered and
hazardous, especially where untreated.

* Timing...mid morning through tonight.

* Snow Accumulations...1 to 3 inches...highest in Buchanan and
Delaware Counties.

* Ice Accumulations...A glazing to around 0.10 inches.

* Wind...north 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Temperatures...dropping into the mid teens tonight.

* Impacts...Roads may become snow and ice covered becoming
hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
