...MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WITH STRONG WINDS EXPECTED IN THE
MOUNTAINS OF VENTURA AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES THROUGH SATURDAY
MORNING...

.SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS CAN BE EXPECTED THIS EVENING BEFORE THE
SECOND STORM ARRIVES EARLY FRIDAY. THIS WILL GENERATE ANOTHER
ROUND OF HEAVY SNOW ON FRIDAY AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS...THEN LIGHT
ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN 4000 AND 5000 FEET FRIDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY
SATURDAY.

A THIRD STORM IS EXPECTED ON SUNDAY BUT SNOW LEVELS ARE EXPECTED
TO RISE TO OVER 9000` SO LITTLE TO NO SNOW ACCUMULATION IS
EXPECTED UNTIL SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY WHEN COLDER AIR ARRIVES.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PST
SATURDAY...

* TIMING...SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS WILL LINGER THROUGH THIS
  EVENING. A SECOND STORM WILL BRING MORE HEAVY SNOW FRIDAY INTO
  EARLY SATURDAY.

* SNOW LEVELS...SNOW LEVELS WILL RANGE FROM 5000 TO 6000 FEET
  TONIGHT THEN RISE TO 5500 TO 6500 FEET FRIDAY BEFORE FALLING TO
  4000 TO 5000 FEET FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...5 TO 10 INCHES ABOVE 6000 FEET THROUGH
  SATURDAY MORNING, WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS UP TO 16 INCHES ABOVE
  7000 FEET. LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS EXPECTED BETWEEN 4000 AND 5000
  FEET FRIDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY SATURDAY.

* WINDS...SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS INCREASING TO 25 TO 40 MPH WITH
  DAMAGING GUSTS TO 65 MPH FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY EVENING.

* IMPACTS...PERIODS OF SNOW...GUSTY WINDS...AND LOW VISIBILITIES
  WILL MAKE FOR DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS AND COULD LEAD TO
  TRAVEL PROBLEMS ON HIGHER MOUNTAIN ROADS. THERE IS A CHANCE OF
  LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS ACROSS INTERSTATE 5 NEAR THE GRAPEVINE LATE
  FRIDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY SATURDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

ONLY TRAVEL INTO THE MOUNTAINS IN AN EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST
TRAVEL...CHECK THE LATEST ROAD REPORTS BEFORE DEPARTING. KEEP AN
EMERGENCY KIT IN YOUR VEHICLE WHICH INCLUDES A FLASHLIGHT... FOOD
AND WATER... EXTRA CLOTHES AND BLANKETS... AND TIRE CHAINS.
