southern Oregon and northern California today...

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST THIS
EVENING...
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST THIS
AFTERNOON...

* Additional snow accumulations...2 to 4 inches or less.

* Snow levels...Snow levels near 5500 feet will fall to 4500 feet
  this morning and then to the 3500 to 4000 foot range this
  afternoon and evening.

* Winds...Southwest winds increasing to 15 to 25 mph with
  occasional gusts to 35 mph.

* Advisory Locations include...Highway 97 near Chemult.

* Warning Locations include...Yamsay Mountain.

* Impacts...Roads will become snow packed and slippery. Blowing
  snow will reduce visibility.

EVENING...

* Additional snow accumulation...2 inches or less.

* Winds...South 40 to 50 mph with gusts to 70 mph.

* Elevation...Snow levels will lower from 5500 feet to 4500 feet
  this morning.

* Locations include...Winter Rim, Warner Mountain Pass on
  Highway 140.

* Impacts...Snow covered roads are expected. Possible whiteout
  conditions with hazardous winds are expected above 5500 feet.

* Travel is strongly discouraged because of dangerous conditions.

* Additional snow accumulations...2 to 6 inches.

* Winds...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts, especially
  above 6000 feet.

* Elevation...Snow levels will lower to 4500 feet this morning.

* Locations include: Mount Shasta Ski Park, Everitt Memorial
  Highway.

* Impacts...Roadways above 5000 feet will become snow covered at
  times and may become impassable, especially above 5500 feet.
  Wind and snow may cause brief whiteout conditions.

MORNING ABOVE 5000 FEET...

* Additional snow accumulations...4 to 8 inches. Up to an
  additional foot of snow is expected in the above 5000 feet west
  of the Marble Mountain crest.

* Winds...South 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts.

* Elevation...Snow levels near 4500 feet will lower to 4000 feet
  this morning.

* Locations include...Etna Summit on Sawyers Bar Road and other
  high terrain roadways.

* Impacts...Roadways above 5000 feet will become snow covered at
  times and may become impassable, especially above 5500 feet.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST THIS
EVENING ABOVE 4500 FEET...

* Additional snow accumulations... 3 to 6 inches, and locally up
  to 8 inches, in the Siskiyous and the Cascades south of Highway
  140. 5 to 10 inches north of highway 140.

* Winds...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph below 5500
  feet. Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph above 5500
  feet.

* Elevation...Snow levels will fall from near 4500 feet this
  morning to 3700 feet this morning, and then to near 3100 feet
  this evening.

* Locations include...Highway 62 near Crater Lake, highway 230,
  highway 58 at Willamette Pass, highway 138 at Diamond Lake
  Summit, and Mount Ashland ski road.

* Impacts...Roads will become snow packed and slippery. I-5 at
  Siskiyou Summit is not in the advisory, as accumulations there
  are only expected to be an inch or less.
