...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING
TO 6 AM MDT SUNDAY...

* LOCATION...The northern Sangre De Cristo mountains, the Wet
  mountains.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A strengthening storm system will move across
  southern Colorado and New Mexico tonight through Saturday night, spreading
  heavy snow and gusty winds into the area.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...Total snow accumulation of 8 to 15 inches
  with locally up to 2 feet for the northeast facing slopes of
  the Wet mountains.

* WIND...North to northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with locally
  higher wind gusts.

* IMPACT...Snow and blowing snow is expected to create hazardous
  travel conditions. In addition, heavy wet snow will be capable
  of producing tree and powerline damage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food,
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

* LOCATION...the Wet Mountain Valley, Pikes Peak and the Rampart
  Range and northern El Paso county.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A strengthening storm system will move
  across southern Colorado and New Mexico Tonight through
  Saturday night, spreading heavy snow and gusty winds into the
  area.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...Total snowfall accumulations of 6 to 10
  inches across northern El Paso county and the Wet mountain
  valley with 6 to 12 inches over Teller county with locally snow
  higher amounts.

* WIND...North to northeast winds 15 to 30 mph with locally
  higher wind gusts.

* IMPACT...Snow and blowing snow at times is expected to create
  hazardous weather and travel conditions tonight through
  Saturday. In addition, heavy wet snow will be capable of
  producing tree and powerline damage.

* LOCATION...the southern I-25 corridor of Huerfano and western
  Las Animas counties, including the cities of Walsenburg and
  Trinidad and the southern Sangre De Cristo mountains.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A strengthening storm system will move across
  southern Colorado and New Mexico tonight through Saturday night,
  spreading prolonged period of heavy snow and gusty winds into
  the area.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...Total snow accumulation in excess of 8 to
  14 inches with up to 2 feet across the northeast facing slopes
  of the Sangre De Cristo mountains.

* WIND...North to northeast winds 15 to 30 mph with locally
  higher wind gusts.

* IMPACT...Snow and blowing snow is expected to create hazardous
  travel conditions. In addition, heavy wet snow will be capable
  of producing tree and powerline damage.

  a prolonged period of heavy snow and gusty winds into the area.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...8 to 14 inches with locally higher snow
  amounts possible.

* WIND...North to northeast winds 15 to 30 mph with wind gusts up
  to 45 mph at times.

* LOCATION...the western Mosquito and eastern Sawatch ranges,
  the La Garita and Eastern San Juan mountains above 10000 feet
  and northwest Fremont county above 8500 feet.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A strengthening storm system will move across
  southern Colorado and New Mexico tonight through Saturday night, spreading
  a prolonged period of snow and gusty winds into the area.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...4 to 8 inches with locally up to a foot.

* WIND...North to northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with locally
  higher wind gusts.

* IMPACT...Snow and blowing snow at times is expected to create
  hazardous travel conditions through Saturday afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A strengthening storm system will move
  across southern Colorado and New Mexico Tonight through
  Saturday night, spreading rounds of moderate to heavy snow and
  gusty winds into the area.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...4 to 6 inches with locally higher snow
  amounts near the mountains.

* WIND...northeast winds 15 to 30 mph with wind gusts around 40
  mph across eastern El Paso county on Saturday.

* IMPACT...Snow and blowing snow is expected to create hazardous
  travel conditions at times, particularly tonight through
  Saturday morning. In addition, heavy wet snow will be capable
  of producing tree and powerline damage.

* LOCATION...Pueblo county including the city of Pueblo.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A strengthening storm system will move
  across southern Colorado and New Mexico Tonight through
  Saturday night, spreading rounds of moderate to heavy snow and
  gusty winds into the area.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...3 to 6 inches for northern and eastern
  portions of the county including the city of Pueblo, with in
  excess of 6 inches possible south of highway 50. Snowfall
  amounts are subject to change depending on storm track.

* WIND...northeast to east winds 15 to 25 mph tonight becoming
  north 20 to 35 mph on Saturday.

* IMPACT...Snow and blowing snow is expected to create hazardous
  travel conditions at times, especially south of highway 50. In
  addition, heavy wet snow will be capable of producing tree and
  powerline damage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow, sleet, or ice accumulations that may impact travel.

  Saturday night, spreading a potentially prolonged period of
  moderate to heavy snow and gusty winds across the area.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...6 inches or more with heavier amounts of
  up to a foot possible south of highway 50.

* WIND...north to northeast winds 20 to 40 mph.

* IMPACT...Snow and blowing snow is expected to create dangerous
  travel conditions at times, especially south of highway 50. In
  addition, heavy wet snow will be capable of producing tree and
  powerline damage.
