on slippery snow and ice covered road conditions. Total snow
accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected. The higher totals
are likely to be from the Triangle area to Roanoke Rapids where
2 to 3 inches are expected. The lowest totals of an inch or less
are likely along the southern border, near the SC state line

* WHERE...All of Central North Carolina.

* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for snow and ice covered roads
tonight and Wednesday in the Western Piedmont, spreading east to
cover much of Central North Carolina late tonight and Wednesday.
Very cold temperatures are expected Wednesday, with temperatures
falling into the 20s, except near 30 in the SE. Lows will dip
into the teens Wednesday night, after the snow ends.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
