...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in North
Dakota...

  Souris River near Westhope affecting Bottineau County
  Souris River near Foxholm affecting Ward County
  Souris River near Towner affecting McHenry County
  Souris River near Bantry affecting McHenry County
  Wintering River near Karlsruhe affecting McHenry County
  Willow Creek near Willow City affecting McHenry and Bottineau
  Counties
For the Souris River Basin including Foxholm...Towner...Bantry...
Westhope...Karlsruhe...Willow City...Minor to Moderate flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.

.Releases from Lake Darling and runoff from melting snow continue to
make their way through the Souris River and its tributaries. Most
locations are still seeing rising water levels and this is expected to
continue through the remainder of the week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...


Safety message...Do not drive into areas where water tops the
roadway. Turn around...Don`t drown. Avoid driving on flooded roads.


A follow-up product will be issued.

* Flood stage is 1573 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will remain near 1573 feet.
* Impact...At 1575 feet...Rural flooding begins.

  The Souris River near Towner.
* until further notice.
* At 10:00 AM Wednesday the stage was 1456 feet.
* Flood stage is 1454 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 1457 feet by
  Saturday early afternoon. Additional rises may be possible
  thereafter.
* Impact...At 1457 feet...Widespread flooding west and north of town
  with many roads affected.

  The Souris River near Bantry.
* from late Thursday night until further notice.
* At  9:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 1440 feet.
* Flood stage is 1440 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early Friday morning and
  continue to rise to near 1441 feet by Tuesday evening. additional
  rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 1440 feet...Water begins crossing the road several
  hundred feet to the left of the bridge. No towns or major roads are
  flooded.

  The Souris River near Westhope.
* from Thursday evening until further notice.
* At  9:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 1413 feet.
* Flood stage is 1414 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow evening and continue
  to rise to near 1419 feet by Tuesday evening. additional rises are
  possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 1418 feet...Refuge area floods. The city of Westhope is
  on high ground and does not flood. Road to gage is impassable.
  Access to Dam #357 is OK below 16 feet.

* At  9:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 1442 feet.
* Flood stage is 1442 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 1446 feet by
  Tuesday evening. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 1447 feet...County roads are closed with 3 houses cut
  off per Emergency Manager.
