ACCUMULATING SNOW TODAY INTO TUESDAY WILL IMPACT EARLY CHRISTMAS
TRAVEL...

SNOW HAD DEVELOPED EARLY THIS MORNING FROM NORTHEASTERN MONTANA TO
WILLISTON...SOUTHEASTWARD TO NEAR DICKINSON...GARRISON...AND NEW
SALEM. THE AREA OF SNOW IS EXPECTED TO EXPAND IN COVERAGE AND
SPREAD EASTWARD INTO CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA. THE SNOW MAY BE MIXED
WITH LIGHT FREEZING RAIN OR SLEET EARLY THIS MORNING. TRAVEL MAY
BE SLOWED DUE TO SLIPPERY ROADS.

ALONG AND EAST OF HIGHWAY 83...AREAS OF FOG AND PATCHY FREEZING
DRIZZLE CAN BE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE EARLY THIS MORNING. PLACES
LIKE MINOT AND RUGBY...HARVEY AND ROLLA...JAMESTOWN AND
OAKES...TO LINTON AND BISMARCK AND MANDAN...TO GARRISON AND
MINOT...WILL LIKELY SEE SLIPPERY ROADS DUE TO THE PATCHY FREEZING
DRIZZLE...OR FOG DROPLETS THAT FREEZE ON ROADS AND WALKWAYS.

LATER TODAY...SNOW IS EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL
NORTH DAKOTA. THE GREATEST AMOUNTS...UP TO 2.5 INCHES...WILL BE
ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE STATE...THROUGH TUESDAY. SOME
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IS ALSO POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND
TONIGHT AS NORTHWEST WINDS DEVELOP AND INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH.

THOSE WITH TRAVEL PLANS SHOULD ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH THEIR
DESTINATIONS. MUCH OF THE REGION OUTSIDE OF NORTH DAKOTA WILL ALSO
BE IMPACTED BY THIS STORM SYSTEM...ESPECIALLY IN SOUTH DAKOTA AND
SOUTHERN MINNESOTA.
