Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
312 PM MDT Mon May 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Tuesday...A cold front will bring
showers and a few thunderstorms along with gusty north winds this
evening, then the showers will diminish. Higher mountain areas
will likely see a few inches of snow. On Tuesday it will be a
little cooler and there will still be a little north wind. Only
isolated showers or storms are expected over the mountains and
eastern areas of the plains.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday night through Saturday...
An upper ridge will bring dry and warmer weather on Wednesday, then
a cold front will bring a chance of showers and storms mainly to the
plains and the east slopes of the Front Range beginning on Thursday.
The cooler northwest flow aloft will continue Friday through midday
Saturday as a weak storm system drops out of southern Idaho and moves
across the state.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
