Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
945 AM MST Wed Dec 13 2017

.Discussion...

A passing weak front will be breezy northerly winds to the far
southeast plains Today, leading to elevated fire danger through
the early afternoon. Another quick moving weather disturbance
will bring generally light snowfall to areas over and near the
mountains this evening, which will continue into early Thursday
afternoon. Dry weather will return for Friday and into Saturday
morning, before another weather system brings another round of
precipitation to areas over and near the higher terrain Saturday
afternoon through Sunday. Above average highs can be expected on
Wednesday, with cooler temperatures on Thursday. Temperatures
warm to above average again for Friday and Saturday, and then
cool again for Sunday.

Good smoke dispersion is expected this afternoon over the far
southeast plains and over the central mountains, Teller and
Fremont counties. The San Luis Valley, the Sangre de Cristo
mountains and the I-25 corridor counties should see poor to
fair dispersion Today. Thursday afternoon the entire forecast
area is expected to have excellent smoke dispersion.
