THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER FAR NORTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA
AS EARLY AS MID EVENING...WITH THE POTENTIAL INCREASING AFTER
MIDNIGHT. THE CHANCE FOR STORMS WILL SPREAD EAST AND SOUTHEAST
OVERNIGHT ACROSS THE NORTHLAND. SOME OF THE STORMS MAY BE
SEVERE...PRODUCING LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WIND...AND HEAVY
RAINFALL. THIS WILL BE MOST LIKELY ALONG AND NORTH OF THE IRON
RANGE IN MINNESOTA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED LATE SATURDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE LARGE
HAIL...DAMAGING WIND...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND FREQUENT
LIGHTNING. THERE WILL ALSO BE A RISK FOR A TORNADO. THERE IS AN
ENHANCED RISK OF THIS SEVERE WEATHER FOR AREAS SOUTH OF A LINE
FROM BRAINERD THROUGH THE TWIN PORTS...AND ASHLAND WISCONSIN.

CLOSELY MONITOR THE FORECAST. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WAY TO MONITOR
THE WEATHER SUCH AS NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND HAVE A SEVERE WEATHER
SAFETY PLAN TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD STORMS THREATEN.

STRONG WESTERLY WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS APPROACHING 40 MPH
ARE EXPECTED SUNDAY ACROSS THE NORTHLAND. THESE WINDS COULD RESULT
IN DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS ESPECIALLY FOR LIGHTWEIGHT AND HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES.

THE CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS RETURNS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUES
THROUGH THE END OF THE WORK WEEK. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED AT
THIS TIME.

A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MAY AFFECT PORTIONS OF WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR
LATE OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. THE STRONGEST STORMS MAY PRODUCE WIND
GUSTS STRONGER THAN 30 KNOTS AND LOCALLY HIGHER WAVES...FREQUENT
CLOUD TO WATER LIGHTNING...AND BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. LARGE HAIL...WIND GUSTS GREATER THAN 40
KNOTS AND LOCALLY HIGHER WAVES...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...AND
FREQUENT CLOUD TO WATER LIGHTNING CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.
IF VENTURING OUT ON THE WATER SATURDAY...PLAN AHEAD TO LOCATE THE
NEAREST SAFE HARBOR AND ENSURE YOU CAN RECEIVE WATCH AND WARNING
INFORMATION.

STRONG WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS ARE FORECAST TO DEVELOP SUNDAY. THE
WIND AND RESULTING WAVES MAY CREATE CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO SMALL
CRAFT.
