NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE QUAD CITIES IA IL

...LIGHT FREEZING RAIN TONIGHT...

.AREAS OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL
OVERSPREAD THE AREA FROM SOUTH TO NORTH THIS EVENING AND INTO THE
OVERNIGHT. ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE GENERALLY LIGHT...BUT STILL
ENOUGH TO PRODUCE SLICK ROADS AND SIDEWALKS. ALTHOUGH THE AIR
TEMPERATURE IS EXPECTED TO RISE OVERNIGHT AT OR ABOVE FREEZING IN
MUCH OF THE ADVISORY AREA...THE FROZEN GROUND WILL STILL CAUSE
THE RAIN TO FREEZE. TEMPERATURES MAY WARM INTO THE MID TO UPPER
30S AFTER 3 AM CST SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 AND LIMIT THE FREEZING
RAIN IN THOSE AREAS BY EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. CONTINUED WARMING
TEMPERATURES AFTER 6 AM CST SATURDAY MORNING SHOULD MELT ANY
ACCUMULATED ICE.
