...PATCHY LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET POSSIBLE FOR A FEW HOURS
EARLY THIS MORNING...

A BAND OF VERY LIGHT RAIN WAS TRACKING NORTHEAST ACROSS PARTS OF
CENTRAL ILLINOIS EARLY THIS MORNING. SURFACE TEMPERATURES WERE AT
OR JUST ABOVE FREEZING ACROSS THE AREA...SO THERE IS THE POTENTIAL
FOR SOME LIGHT ACCUMULATION OF ICE ON BRIDGE DECKS AND SECONDARY
ROADWAYS OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. THAT WOULD BE ESPECIALLY
TRUE JUST NORTH OF BLOOMINGTON AND CHAMPAIGN TO AROUND HOOPESTON
AND DANVILLE. TEMPERATURES BY SUNRISE ARE EXPECTED TO EDGE ABOVE
THE FREEZING MARK IN ALL AREAS. BUT UNTIL THEN...MOTORISTS SHOULD
BE ALERT FOR THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME SLICK SPOTS ON BRIDGE DECKS
AND ON LESSER TRAVELED ROADWAYS EARLY THIS MORNING.
