   GMZ005-131530-  Synopsis for Keys coastal waters from Ocean Reef to Dry Tortugas  422 AM EST Wed Dec 13 2017    SYNOPSIS  A short-lived wind surge from a passing cold front  will last through late morning. An area of high pressure will  move eastward across the Gulf of Mexico this afternoon, and  linger over the Florida Peninsula Wednesday night and Thursday.  Another high pressure system will intensify and advance eastward  across the southeastern United States and western North Atlantic  from Friday through Sunday night.    The Approximate Shoreward Edge of the Gulf Stream as of  December 12, 2017,    50 NM South of Dry Tortugas Light, on Loggerhead Key.  13 NM South of Cosgrove Shoal Light, off the Marquesas Keys.  21 NM South of Sand Key Light, off Key West.  31 NM South of Looe Key, off Big Pine Key.  36 NM South of Sombrero Key Light, off Marathon.  15 NM Southeast of Alligator Reef Light, off Islamorada.  10 NM Southeast of Molasses Reef Light, off Key Largo.  2 NM East of Carysfort Reef Light, off Ocean Reef.    Gulf Stream Information Courtesy of the Naval Oceanographic Office.    $$
