   GMZ001-231345-  Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico  915 PM EDT Sun Oct 22 2017      .SYNOPSIS...A trough from near Pensacola Florida to a 1013 mb  low at 27N88W extends SW to just E of northeastern Mexico. The  trough and low will drift eastward through Monday as a cold  front presently from southeastern Louisiana to just S of  Brownsville Texas quickly moves across the NW and N central  waters. The cold front will reach the far SE Gulf early on  Wednesday and to the NW Caribbean Sea Wednesday night. Winds  behind the front are expected to reach gale force near Veracruz  Mexico from midday on Monday to Wednesday night. Strong high  pressure in the wake of the front will bring fresh to strong  northerly winds over much of forecast waters Wednesday  afternoon, then diminish through Thursday afternoon as the high  center shifts to the NE Gulf. The high will weaken on Friday as  another cold front moves across eastern Texas, and into the NW  Gulf on Friday night.    $$

Isolated showers  and thunderstorms.  MON  N winds 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Isolated showers.  MON NIGHT  N to NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.  TUE  N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.  TUE NIGHT  N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft.  WED  N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft.  WED NIGHT  NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.  THU  SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.  THU NIGHT  S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.  FRI  S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft.  FRI NIGHT  S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming NW 20 to 25 kt  late. Seas 6 to 9 ft.    $$
