 SEAS ARE PROVIDED AS A RANGE OF THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF THE  HIGHEST ONE THIRD OF THE WAVES...ALONG WITH THE OCCASIONAL  HEIGHT OF THE AVERAGE HIGHEST TEN PERCENT OF THE WAVES.        GMZ400-292300-  SYNOPSIS FOR LOWER ATCHAFALAYA RIVER LA TO HIGH ISLAND TX OUT  60 NM INCLUDING SABINE AND CALCASIEU LAKES AND VERMILION BAY  458 AM CDT SAT APR 29 2017      .SYNOPSIS...  STRONG AND GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE AS A COLD FRONT  APPROACHES THE AREA. SEAS OF 10 TO 12 FEET ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE  OUTER COASTAL WATERS WITH 6 TO 9 FEET ACROSS THE NEARSHORE  WATERS. THIS STRONG SOUTHERLY FLOW WILL ALSO RESULT IN ABOVE  NORMAL TIDE READINGS THE NEXT FEW HIGH TIDE CYCLES, ESPECIALLY  SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNINGS. IN ADDITION TO THE STRONG WINDS AND  SEAS, WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH THE  COASTAL WATERS LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY AFTERNOON AS THE  FRONT PUSHES THROUGH THE AREA. BEHIND THE FRONT WINDS WILL TURN  NORTHWESTERLY AND SUBSIDE.    $$

SEAS 4 TO 7 FEET WITH  OCCASIONAL SEAS UP TO 8 FEET. CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND  THUNDERSTORMS.  SUNDAY  SOUTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 25 KNOTS BECOMING NORTHWEST 10 TO  15 KNOTS IN THE AFTERNOON. SEAS 3 TO 6 FEET WITH OCCASIONAL SEAS  UP TO 7 FEET. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE MORNING, THEN  CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON.  SUNDAY NIGHT  NORTHWEST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS. SEAS 3 TO 5 FEET.  SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS IN THE EVENING.  MONDAY  EAST WINDS 5 TO 10 KNOTS. SEAS 1 TO 3 FEET.  MONDAY NIGHT  SOUTHEAST WINDS 10 TO 15 KNOTS.
