Plan to stop all outdoor activity and move to shelters. .Excessive Rainfall...Flooding of urban areas, roads, small streams, and washes. Since soils are saturated, flash floods and mudslides are possible. Some rivers will remain or may exceed flood stage, affecting nearby roads and structures. .Excessive Heat...Heat index 102-107 degrees across most coastal areas, including Vieques and Culebra. Heat exhaustion possible with prolonged exposure. .Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are possible in the surf zone particularly along beaches from northwestern to northeastern Puerto Rico and Culebra. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday The excessive rainfall and lightning hazards risk will persist each day, particularly from the typical afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorm development. With high moisture levels, heat indices could surpass 102 degrees Fahrenheit each day, with the potential for 108-110 degrees in localized areas on Saturday and Sunday. The risk of rip current will range between moderate on Friday and Tuesday and low between Saturday and Monday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is encouraged.
