This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Critical fire weather conditions are expected this afternoon across
the east slopes of the southern mountains, mainly below 7500 feet.

Late this afternoon into this evening, snow showers, with
embedded thunder, will be possible across the central mountains,
mainly north of Cottonwood Pass. A couple of inches of snow will
be possible at the higher elevations.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Critical fire weather conditions are expected Friday and Saturday
for the Sangre de Cristo and Wet Mountains below 7500 feet.
Isolated afternoon and early evening thunderstorms will be
possible over the higher terrain and Palmer Divide on Friday, with
lightning and gusty winds the main storm threats.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will increase slightly in
coverage this weekend, with better chances for the plains. Some
high elevation snow will occur this weekend, mainly over the
northern Sawatch and Mosquito ranges, although only a couple of
additional inches of snow expected.

Only a few thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon
hours over the higher terrain on Monday, then thunderstorm activity
will have an uptick from Tuesday through Wednesday.
