This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South
Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

South to southeast winds increase today, with gusts to 35 mph
possible west of the James River.

Shower and storm chances return late tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

High chance (> 70%) of periods of showers and thunderstorms early
Thursday morning through Friday. An isolated strong to severe storm
is possible, but risk is low. Locally heavy rainfall is also
possible, and a few locations could receive over one inch of rain.

Periodic moderate chances for showers and storms return Saturday into
early next week. Severe weather and locally heavy rainfall are
possible this weekend, so be sure to monitor the weather forecast for
updates.

  Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County.

  Little Sioux River above Spencer / Highway 18 affecting Clay
  County.

  Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River near Milford.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, significant amounts of pasture and other
  farm lands begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.9 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM CDT Tuesday was 14.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.3
    feet early tomorrow afternoon and then gradually fall to 12.3
    feet Sunday evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
