This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South
Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Scattered storms are ongoing across southwestern Minnesota and
northwestern Iowa. A stronger storm or two could produce wind gusts
to 60 mph and quarter sized hail. Otherwise, gusty northwesterly
winds will decrease this evening

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Showers and thunderstorms expected for southwestern Minnesota and
northwestern Iowa Tuesday morning. Severe weather is not anticipated.
Additional shower and thunderstorm chances Wednesday night into the
weekend.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

  Little Sioux River at Cherokee affecting Cherokee County.

  Little Sioux River above Spencer / Highway 18 affecting Clay
  County.

  Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County.

  Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River near Milford.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, significant amounts of pasture and other
  farm lands begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 14.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 6:00 PM CDT Monday was 14.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.0
    feet just after midnight tonighT and continue falling to 12.1
    feet Saturday evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
