* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Spencer.

* WHEN...Until early Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, the right bank overflows, and minor
  flooding of the Spencer city park and some rural agricultural
  areas begins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 AM CDT Wednesday was 11.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.3
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Sunday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South
Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

South to southeast winds increase today, with gusts to 35 mph
possible west of the James River.

Shower and storm chances return late tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

High chance (> 70%) of periods of showers and thunderstorms early
Thursday morning through Friday. An isolated strong to severe storm
is possible, but risk is low. Locally heavy rainfall is also
possible, and a few locations could receive over one inch of rain.

Periodic moderate chances for showers and storms return Saturday into
early next week. Severe weather and locally heavy rainfall are
possible this weekend, so be sure to monitor the weather forecast for
updates.
