This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Elevated lightning risk.
  Elevated excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

Thunderstorms will move into the area from the west this morning,
lasting into the afternoon hours. Damaging winds up to 60 mph and
frequent cloud to ground lightning will be possible. Heavy
rainfall may lead to localized flash flooding.

Additional thunderstorms are possible overnight however the
number of storms remains uncertain. Lightning and localized
flooding would be a concern if storms develop overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Thunderstorm chances continue through Tuesday night. A few storms
may produce damaging wind gusts and large hail Tuesday night,
mainly northwest of Interstate 44. Locally heavy rainfall Tuesday
into Tuesday night may lead to instances of flash flooding.

Thunderstorm chances this upcoming weekend remain uncertain with
chances at 30 percent or less.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

 Spotter activation may be needed today for any thunderstorm or
flood reports across southeast Kansas and southern Missouri.
