THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Limited. AREA... Mainly far southern Oklahoma. ONSET...Mainly after midnight. DISCUSSION... Isolated thunderstorms could drift into far southern portions of Oklahoma near the Red River late tonight. A few storms could also make their way into northeast Oklahoma overnight as well. Severe potential will be low with any storm, but locally heavy downpours will be possible. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Heavy Rain Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Daily thunderstorm chances are expected across the area through much of the week as northwesterly and westerly flow aloft develops over the Plains. Not everywhere will see storms everyday, but at least scattered storms are forecast across eastern Oklahoma and into western Arkansas through the period. Some severe potential will exist with any storms, along with the threat for heavy rainfall and localized flooding concerns.
