This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Puerto Rico.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

.Lightning...Isolated thunderstorms are possible across the
islands. Be aware of thunderstorms in your area and be prepared to
take shelter.

.Excessive Rainfall...Flooding of urban areas, roads, small
streams, and washes. Isolated flash floods possible.

.Excessive Heat...This level of heat affects most individuals
sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling
and/or adequate hydration. Impacts possible in some health
systems and in heat-sensitive industries.

.Wind...Breezy conditions. Unsecured items could blow around.

.Marine Conditions...Small craft should exercise caution across
most local waters.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are possible in the
surf zone particularly across all beaches of Puerto Rico, Vieques,
and Culebra.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

A tropical wave is expected to increasing moisture and the
potential for urban and small stream flooding through Monday. A
wet and unstable weather pattern is forecast through midweek as a
broad trough west of the area and deep tropical moisture pools
over the region under southerly winds.

Spotter activation is encouraged. Please relay any information
about flooding, winds, waves, and rip currents to the National
Weather Service in San Juan.

AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...The available moisture and east-southeast winds will
  promote heat indices that can affect individuals sensitive to heat.

* WHERE...Low elevations and urban areas of northern, western, and
  southern Puerto Rico, as well as Saint Croix.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 5 PM AST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
