Scattered thunderstorms tonight could become strong to marginally severe. The main threats will be wind gusts to 60 mph and quarter size hail. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Severe thunderstorm chances are forecast to increase on Thursday. All hazards will be possible, including: damaging winds, very large hail, although unlikely a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. At 109 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of Pep, or 9 miles east of Morton, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. At 1254 AM a 62 mph wind gust was reported at the West Texas mesonet station located 1 mile east northeast of Morton. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include...
