Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Lubbock TX 1121 AM CDT Sun Jun 2 2024 TXZ021>044-031630- Parmer-Castro-Swisher-Briscoe-Hall-Childress-Bailey-Lamb-Hale-Floyd- Motley-Cottle-Cochran-Hockley-Lubbock-Crosby-Dickens-King-Yoakum- Terry-Lynn-Garza-Kent-Stonewall- 1121 AM CDT Sun Jun 2 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon along a dryline across the western South Plains and far southwest Texas Panhandle. Thunderstorms may also develop along a southwestward moving outflow boundary across the Rolling Plains and eastern South Plains however confidence on thunderstorm development along this boundary is less certain. Thunderstorms will then expand in coverage and shift eastward across the remainder of the area this evening. Some storms may become severe with large hail up to the size of tennis balls and damaging wind gusts to 80 mph will be the primary hazards, but a tornado or two is also possible especially along the outflow boundary. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. An isolated thunderstorm may be possible across the far southeast Texas Panhandle and eastern Rolling Plains Monday afternoon. Storms may become severe with the main threats being large hail and damaging wind gusts. Thunderstorm chances will return Thursday through Saturday.
