Scattered severe thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening. Storms will develop around 3-4 pm and persist through the evening. The primary threats will be hail greater than 2 inches and damaging wind gusts of 60-70 mph. There will be a localized tornado threat with the strongest storms. Storms should dissipate around midnight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. There is a low threat of severe storms late Saturday afternoon, primarily across western North Texas. Large hail and damaging wind gusts will be the primary hazards. Additional storm chances return mid to late next week. The potential for severe weather remains uncertain at this time. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is likely for much of the area between 4 pm and midnight. $$
