Scattered thunderstorms will be possible tonight and into early Sunday mainly across Louisiana. The strongest storms could produce gusty winds and heavy downpours. Additional severe weather is not anticipated through the rest of tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will persist during the latter half of the weekend and into early next week. Although thunderstorm chances continue later in the week, a gradual decrease in activity is expected due to an upper-level ridge expanding into the region from the southwest. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Sabine River near Mineola.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Expect a couple of flooded barns. Also
expect water to overflow the bridge approaches to Farm to Market
Highway 1804 between Hoard and Lindale. Expect several hundred
acres of flooded pasturelands next to the river both upstream and
downstream. Move livestock and equipment to higher ground.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 16.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 PM CDT Saturday was 16.9 feet.
