This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
There is a chance of storms this afternoon and tonight, with the
best storm chances across Central Texas. A few of the storms may be
severe with large hail and damaging winds. Heavy rain could also
result in some flooding.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
There are additional chances for thunderstorms Friday and Saturday.
Though storm coverage may be isolated, any storm that develops could
quickly become severe. Additional storms are possible around the
middle of next week.

Limited spotter activation may be requested this afternoon and
evening.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR WEST CENTRAL CORYELL, SOUTHWESTERN HAMILTON, NORTH
CENTRAL LAMPASAS AND SOUTHERN MILLS COUNTIES...

At 1210 PM CDT, Doppler radar continues to indicate thunderstorms
producing heavy rain. The heaviest rain and worst flooding is
expected for areas along and south of highway 84 between Goldthwaite
and Evant. Life threatening flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Goldthwaite, Evant, Center City, Star, Moline, Bee House, Pearl
  and Regency.

The radar estimates between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in
the past 1-2 hours. This is in addition to heavy rainfall received
yesterday. The heaviest rain will continue for parts of the warned
area for at least the next hour before it moves east.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dangerous flash flooding is occurring or is imminent! Do not attempt
to travel unless you are fleeing flood waters. If you are in an area
subject to flooding, move to higher ground now.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Texas, including
  the following counties, in north central Texas, Bell, Bosque,
  Collin, Comanche, Cooke, Coryell, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath,
  Falls, Fannin, Freestone, Grayson, Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Hunt,
  Johnson, Kaufman, Lampasas, Limestone, McLennan, Mills, Navarro,
  Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant and Wise. In northeast Texas,
  Anderson, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Van Zandt.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor-drainage and urban areas. Low-water
  crossings may become flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Additional isolated rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches possible
    through Thursday evening.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
